Apologies for the mini silence as of late, I’ve been away! Robbie and I went on holiday to Vienna and Budapest and had an absolutely fantastic time.
I wore several of myTaking Shape dresses(reviews coming soon), and my gorgeousASOS bodycon dress.
Whilst in Vienna we went out to dinner in the Riesenrad – the large wheel that overlooks the city and the adjoining theme park. It was a beautiful and surreal experience – six rotations in the wheel whilst eating delicious traditional Austrian dishes and sipping on bubbles and white wine. It was whilst my slight fear of heights was taking centre stage and I was admitting to my terror that Robbie came round the table and asked me if I wanted to know something else scary – he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. And with those words he got down on one knee and proposed to me, and I promptly burst into tears and asked him, ‘Are you sure?’
Suffice to say I accepted, and I am now sporting the gorgeous sapphire, topaz and yellow gold ring that we picked together in Vietnam last year.

And so there we have it! I am on my way to becoming Mrs Cox! It’s all a bit of a bubble right now, and the enormity of wedding planning seems a bit much, but I guess you can expect some sporadic wedding posts as we lead up to our big day, which we hope will be next Spring/Summer.

Congratulations! But surely if you chose the ring together last year, you had already planned to get married and were therefore engaged already? Although this story and some apt photos are obviously a much better story for the blog!
Thanks but it’s not a story… we chose the ring for when/if we decided to get engaged as it was the perfect ring but not the perfect time. We got engaged on Sunday.
That’s a tad bitchy. Many couples seem to buy the ring together first and then wait for a proposal. I find it a bit surprising, but it’s a new thing that many couples are doing. No need to run her down!

We didn’t plan to buy a ring! We just saw it and we had to go back for it. It’s maybe a modern approach but we both can’t stop staring at the ring and I am happy to have something relatively unique and perfect for me!x
Yeah, that’s what Katie Peachesa meant. It’s a modern thing, and just because you bought a ring does not mean the proposal was some made up story, as the other lady implied.

YAY! https://www.capitalfm.com ! I posted on your facebook awhile back asking you to do a wedding dress review. Maybe now you might! I got mine at a new boutique in Chicago, IL USA called Haute & Co. for sizes 12 and up. It was very upscale and a warm experience for me! If you ever adventure out here I am sure they would love to help you explore your options as well!
