Party With Evans

Posted onNovember 11, 2014

Recently myself,Callie Thorpe from ‘From The Corners Of The Curve’andDanie Vanie from ‘Danielle Vanier’were given an awesome opportunity with Evans. We were asked to pick some party and Christmas looks from plus size retailer Evans and then film a few videos on how and why we would dress them up or down for work or play. It was such a great day, and as the three of us get on so well with each other and the Evans crew it felt so fun and easy! Perfect hair and make up looks and great clothes – what could be better!?

Jokes were cracked and bloopers were made, but in the end something fabulous was produced that will hopefully be useful to so many ladies. Check out the final video here:

Below are a few behind the scenes and final shots from the day. If you love our looks thenclick here to shop them at Evans.

You look stunning – I love the navy blue, glittery dress.

Did you not wear shap wear? In Katie's LinkedIn page looked not as slim as your pictures. Then again they say the camera makes ppl look bigger

I wore it. I really am that fat.

hahaha oh George, you look fab as usual

Really Ashleigh? Why even be here is it’s just to say something nasty to her like that? She does this blog to help I spite other women and uplift us. To give us confidence and empower us to be bold with fashion and wear whatever the fuck we like and you say that? George is one of the bravest women I know for doing what she does and she doesn’t need another WOMAN saying things like you did. As women we already have enough things working against us, we don’t need each other too. George, you looked absolutely stunning per usual and never once did you look fat.

Poor Georgina, that was an insensitive remark. I usually keep comments like that to myself.

Are you a fan of Tess Munster? She’s coming to london in a week or two. You should totally do a shoot with her!!!

She’s not a fan of me.

she’s just jealous of you 😉

Oyyyyy… I love you both. Such strong and positive female role models for me… makes me disheartened to hear of a clash 🙁

PHWOAR! These looks are to die for! All 3 ladies look absolutely incredibleYou all look stunning! Beautiful images! x

Hi George! You look fantastic and I love that you put some colour into your outfits 🙂 I am always so jealous that you get to do these fantastic shoots etc with other bloggers though I know you have worked hard for it. I wish that someday I’ll get there too! xx

You look amazing – all three of you are such beautiful, stylish ladies that seem to be having so much fun! It great to see such wonderful role models giving curvy girls everywhere confidence in the wardrobe!

I don’t see why! You’re pretty cool and I remember when you use to say nice things about her on your FB

Hey George!

I’m a silent “on an off” reader of your blog, since I stumbled upon the whole “Brafitting-Universe” nearly two years ago! Fashion Life Mag like your blog, I think you and your collegues achieve a *great* deal in terms of body positivity for ladys of all forms and shapes, who may be insecure about themselves. I know it did a great deal for me! And I really LOVED seeing the blogging ladies coming to life in this little video..! You are wonderful, witty and dashing! You and of course the other two as well 🙂 (And the blue dress? Amazing!!! And of couse I KNEW that you're located in the UK, and this is going to sound seriously silly, but I could listen to your lovely british accents the whole evening! ;D

Great project, keep that sort of stuff going and have all the fun and the glamour you can get. I will be happy to read about it 😉

Greetings and best wishes from Germany,

Lena

Hi George sending some fan girl love vibes all the way from Aus! Totally wish there were some awesome brands such as Evans had shops here! Would be rad! But mainly just wanted to say keep doing your thing love your blog and instagram 🙂

Hello. What sizes were the items you wore for the shoot? I’ve had a tricky time with Evans in the past and wondered whether you size up or down with them.

Hey! All 14s bar the pink jacket as only an 18 was available x

You look absolutely amazing in all of these pictures! I’m normally more of a silent fan but you inspired me to buy the Teal Jaquard Dress for a meal at the weekend, it’s on the way and I hope it looks just as fab on me!

Thanks for the inspiration!

hi george!

even though i don’t comment a lot, i check your blog and your insta everyday (don’t think that i am a creep, you just put me in a good mood and i love everything you review and how you are so positive and nice to everyone) and i have a doubt. i know that you have things to do, so you can answer it when you have time or even not answering it, it’s really okay but thanks in advance 🙂 well, i am 17 years old and i thought that i was a 30F (freya deco and meg from cleo), but nowadays they are getting bigger and i get the feeling that the strap of my bra is digging in my shoulder, like separating the boob (?). i don’t really know how to explain it. so, i went to an online calculator and it gave 30G/GG, plus the sister sizes 32FF/G and 28GG/H. Then i measured my waist, because i saw that the waist size is the same as the underbust measurement in some sites and i measured 26. so would the 30 be too big? in my freya deco, i can pull the band with my fingers easily, but in my cleo i can’t do it with that much ease. i’m 173, 130 lbs and i mostly wear L tops because of the boobs, otherwise i can wear a S.

as in Katie's LinkedIn page don’t have bra shops that sell more than a D, i have to buy it in UK and ship it to my country. what size do you think i should buy? i know that it is very hard and if you can’t say anything, it’s really fine. sorry about this enormous text and my english! i’m going to practise it 😉

thank you!

kiss :*

oh and i think my boobs are full on top, because they tend to overspill even though they sometimes don’t really fill the bottom part of the bra

Hello lovely one, thanks for commenting! Ok so I would say you need 28 in Freya and 30 in Panache - they come up firmer. It sounds like you need a bigger cup too. Check out Bratabase.com and this calculator:

Follow me on Facebook too as I can post reader questions xxx

thank you reallyyyy! i’m so happy you answered!

i will follow you. thanks again! 🙂
